Black Skull

Eurovision Song Contest

Defining pop culture on the global stage for over a decade.

Project Info:

For more than twelve years, Black Skull has created iconic country performances for the Eurovision Song Contest, while also serving as Lead Creative Director for the 2023 Liverpool edition - a landmark show that won them a BAFTA for Entertainment Craft Team of the Year.

Across multiple years and countries, Black Skull has helped transform artist performances into complete visual stories: ideas that transcend the arena and connect with hundreds of millions of viewers through the broadcast camera. That ability has made Black Skull one of the most sought-after creative teams in the Eurovision world.

In 2022, Black Skull created Sam Ryder’s performance for the UK, helping deliver the country’s best result in decades as runner-up to Ukraine. When Liverpool hosted the 2023 contest on Ukraine’s behalf, Black Skull stepped into a unique creative role: helping shape a united Eurovision built around music, resilience and shared celebration.

From the UK’s renewed Eurovision momentum with Sam Ryder to creating 30+ international entries, Black Skull has helped define the modern contest as part music television, part theatre, part arena spectacle and always driven by the intention of connection through music and entertainment.
